Contract type: Permanent – 43 weeks per year (0.9 FTE)
Hours: 37 hrs per week, term time plus 6 weeks (to be directed)
We seek a full time Personal Assistant to the Principal who will assist and support as well as act as an initial point of contact for all correspondence and communication to the Principal both externally and somewhat internally as well as managing a team of three Administrators. The successful candidate must have experience of similar work in an educational setting and be able to work on their own initiative; be very well organised and an excellent, manager, communicator and diplomat.
The role involves core duties including fielding calls, diary management and working closely with the Principal, ensuring all correspondence is accurate, timely and stored correctly. There will be contact with parents, stakeholders and the public as well as local authorities and other schools. The individual will manage responses to parental queries, supervise and direct whole school administration, oversee the arrangement of events and school visits, as well as have involvement in marketing the school.
This post is varied and challenging but very rewarding and would suit an experienced individual who is the ultimate front facing professional who can manage a diverse and challenging work load; can work flexibly and enjoys all aspects of busy school life.
